Pharmacological Effects and Mechanism of Action

Vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis and cannot be synthesized by the body, so it must be obtained from the diet. It also acts as an antioxidant, aiding in wound healing and reducing skin damage from UV radiation. Vitamin C stimulates collagen production and has anti-inflammatory properties, benefiting conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Vitamin E is crucial for the growth of healthy tissues and has powerful antioxidant properties that help protect the skin from free radical damage. It promotes skin hydration, reduces inflammation, and assists in the healing of burns, cuts, and other skin injuries.

Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide and Niacin) plays a vital role in skin protection by improving hydration and resistance to irritants. It also helps reduce skin redness through its anti-inflammatory effect.

Vitamin B6 is essential for amino acid metabolism and involved in carbohydrate and fat metabolism. Deficiency can lead to symptoms such as weakness, inflammation (especially around the mouth), and immune and nerve system disturbances.

Calcium is essential for various bodily functions, including skin regeneration and the prevention of skin damage and discoloration. It supports ongoing bone health even after skeletal growth has stopped.

Zinc contributes to collagen production, preventing skin aging, and treats skin blemishes. It also promotes hair growth, prevents hair loss, and strengthens nails. Zinc is crucial for wound healing and has anti-inflammatory effects, especially in conditions like eczema.

L-Cysteine is a strong antioxidant that boosts glutathione levels, helping to protect cells from oxidative damage and inflammation, particularly in inflammatory conditions like acne and eczema.
