Ingredients of Ferrosomal 7 Drops

Iron (84.3 mg of liposomal ferric pyrophosphate): 7 mg

Other ingredients: Glycerin, Xanthan gum, Sucralose, Potassium sorbate, Vanilla essence, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Purified water.

Dosage and Administration of Ferrosomal Drops

Infants aged 7–12 months: 1.5 mL daily

Children aged 1–8 years: 1 mL daily
Administer the drops directly into the mouth or dissolve them in half a glass of water.

Pharmacological Effects and Mechanism of Action

Iron is a trace mineral predominantly found in hemoglobin (in red blood cells) and myoglobin (in muscle cells), essential for the transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Iron is a key factor in the synthesis of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. Iron supplementation is effective in preventing iron deficiency anemia. Symptoms of iron deficiency include anemia, fatigue, growth delay, hair loss, and hepatomegaly. This product uses liposomal iron, where the liposomal encapsulation ensures the iron is not degraded by stomach acid and is absorbed in the intestines. Therefore, liposomal iron enhances absorption and is associated with fewer side effects.

Side Effects

Like all supplements, this product may cause some unwanted side effects. The most common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and gastrointestinal irritation. Although not all individuals experience these side effects, if any occur, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Drug Interactions

Medications such as penicillamine, methyldopa, levodopa, dolutegravir, levothyroxine, tetracycline antibiotics, quinolones (e.g., doxycycline, ciprofloxacin), and bisphosphonates (e.g., alendronate) may interact with this product due to the presence of iron, reducing drug absorption. A minimum 2-hour gap between these medications and this product is recommended.

Use in Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

If used as directed by a physician, it is generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Storage Conditions

Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
After opening the bottle and placing the dropper on it, the product is usable for one month.
