Calcium + Magnesium + Zinc + Vitamin D3 Tablets

Dosage Form Tablets designed for the provision of calcium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin D3.

Packaging Each box contains 3 blister packs of 10 tablets along with a consumer information leaflet.

Indications

Supplementation of calcium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin D3 requirements, especially during pregnancy and lactation.

Prevention and management of osteoporosis and reduction of pregnancy-induced hypertension.

Active Ingredients (Per Tablet)

Calcium Carbonate (Equivalent to 400 mg elemental calcium): 1000 mg

Magnesium Hydroxide (Equivalent to 150 mg elemental magnesium): 360 mg

Zinc Sulfate (Equivalent to 5 mg elemental zinc): 13.7 mg

Vitamin D3: 400 IU

Dosage and Administration

Recommended Dose: Take 1 to 2 tablets daily, or as directed by a physician or pharmacist.

For optimal absorption, take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals on an empty stomach. If gastrointestinal discomfort occurs, tablets can be taken with food.

Avoid exceeding the recommended dose without medical supervision.

Pharmacological Effects

Regulates the activity of enzymes involved in the formation and maintenance of bones and teeth.

Facilitates neurotransmitter release, nerve signal transmission, muscle contraction, and heart rhythm regulation.

Supports blood clotting, endocrine and exocrine gland activity, collagen synthesis, and the balance of calcium and phosphorus levels.

Potential Side Effects

No specific adverse effects have been observed when taken at therapeutic doses.

Drug Interactions

1. Iron Supplements Calcium (except calcium citrate) interferes with iron absorption. Maintain a minimum 2-hour interval between taking calcium carbonate and iron supplements.
2. Antibiotics Calcium reduces the absorption of tetracyclines and quinolones. Maintain at least a 3-hour interval between doses.
3. Thyroid Hormones Calcium impairs the absorption of thyroid medications such as levothyroxine. Ensure a minimum 4-hour gap between intake.
4. Cardiac Glycosides (e.g., Digoxin) Co-administration increases the risk of digoxin toxicity.
5. Thiazide Diuretics: Concurrent use may elevate the risk of hypercalcemia.
6. Antacids: Reduce calcium absorption when taken together. Maintain a 2-hour gap.

Use During Pregnancy and Lactation

• Can be safely used during pregnancy and breastfeeding under medical supervision.
